SHIPPING

Your goods will be dispatched within 3 working days, excluding weekends and UK national holidays, by Tracking 24 with Royal Mail if for some reason this is not possible you will be informed as soon as possible.

Postage is calculated by weight at checkout.

Orders will be dispatched between 1-3 days.

EU, USA & WORLDWIDE

Following Brexit and Trump's tariffs the trajectory of goods tarvelling through customs worldwide has become complex, as a small business MQOS is limited in the ways it can deliver to various areas so each one has to be treated separately.

July 2026

Changes to customs fees are now in operation across Europe from the UK. Where previously just import tax was charged there is now an added customs duty fee of 3 euros per item type (commodity code/HS code) for orders under 150 euros.

We use Royal Mail and it's various partners in each country, we will now use the DDP method of delivery to EU member states, meaning taxes and duties will be paid in advance. Until we have a fully efficient integrated system we will invoice you separately for these charges after we receive your order, this should ensure the smooth delivery of your goods.

August '26 Royal Mail is unable to process all EU shipments by DDP to certain EU countries, these will be dispatched DAP, delivery at place, meaning the customer will pay duties and taxes when the items arrive at customes in the destination country.

Please be aware Mary Queen of Socks is a small business and is not VAT (value added tax) registered, there is no VAT included in all the prices, therefore we can not offer a VAT refund to overseas customers.

USA

Following Trumps tariffs (August 2025) all orders to US will be liable for duties and import tax, until we have a fully efficient integrated system you will be invoiced for these fees separately after you have placed your order.

Worldwide

Most other countries outside the US and EU will be delivered by Royal Mail and their partners in each country, the method will generally be DAP delivered at place, meaning the recipient is responsible for duties and taxes.

We advice you contact your local customs department to find out what these charges are, we are unable to provide this information as it varies from country to country.

General shipping to EU USA & Worldwide

Mailing method is 'tracked' or 'tracked and signed' and processed by Royal Mail and their various partners operating in each country.

Estimated delivery times to the EU, USA & WW can anything between 5-14 working days, these times vary from country to country.

Any orders refused at destination customs can only be refunded when they are returned to us. We will not refund for original shipping costs, we will also deduct any charges placed on us for receiving returned goods.

Mary Queen of Socks is a small business and at present is not VAT registered so does not offer a VAT refund to offset import taxes to overseas customers.
